We are seeking a Junior Programmer to join our team at a flexible work location. This position offers an opportunity to develop and enhance web-based financial applications and database-driven web applications. The role is ideal for individuals looking to build on their programming experience while contributing to the development and maintenance of robust software solutions.
The ideal candidate will:
Perform programming tasks to support and enhance web-based financial and database-driven applications.
Collaborate with the lead developer to create and maintain database-driven web applications.
Write, test, and debug code using programming languages such as PHP, Python, shell scripting, Perl, and MySQL or ORACLE.
Work with technologies including HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Databricks, and Linux-based systems.
Utilize development tools like VS Code and version control systems like GitLab to ensure efficient workflows.
Contribute to CI/CD pipeline processes and Docker containerization setups.
Multi-task effectively while managing competing priorities.
Required Education, Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field from an accredited institution.
1–3 years of relevant programming experience.
Knowledge and experience with:
Programming languages: PHP, Python, shell scripting, and Perl.
Web application technologies: HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, and Databrick.
Databases and SQL.
Must hold (or be willing to obtain within 180 days of hire) one of the following certifications:
Security+, CND, GCLD, GSEC, CSSLP, SSCP
Familiarity with Linux operating systems and Docker containerization.
Experience with GitLab and CI/CD pipelines.
Proficiency with integrated development environments like VS Code.
Strong understanding of software development best practices and workflows.
U.S. citizenship is required
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
