Financial Associate Intern Duties
Prepare, compile, and verify financial data related to accounts payable and accounts receivable
Generate reports to monitor and identify problems preventing timely payments
Review invoices and assist with processing vouchers
Investigate returned checks and take appropriate action
Process case service payments
Assist customers with account-related questions and resolve any issues A Successful Financial Associate Intern Has
Proficiency in using accounting software, spreadsheets, and other office technologies
Ability to analyze financial data, identify problems, and recommend solutions
Excellent numerical and analytical skills
Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining financial records

Knowledge of general accounting

Division of Fiscal Management Overview
The Division of Fiscal Management oversees the financial resources of the agency in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies. This includes budget planning, revenue forecasting, expenditure monitoring, and financial reporting. Fiscal staff are responsible for ensuring transparency, accountability, and efficiency in the use of public funds, as well as identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue generation. They may also be involved in long-term financial planning and analysis to support the agency's mission and objectives.
Schedule and Hours
Approximately 20 hours per week in office at 150 E. Campus View Blvd., Columbus, Ohio working same in-office hours as the Finance Team for 8 hour days during the summer with the potential for continuation during the school year.
16 hours during 1st week of pay period - Wednesday & Thursday (8 hours each day between 7:30-5:00 p.m.)
24 hours the 2nd week of the pay period - Monday, Tuesday & Friday (8 hours each day between 7:30-5:00 p.m.) Pay Information
Salary will be step 1, $22.96/hour, subject to law or union contract requirements. This position is not eligible for medical benefits.

Qualifications
-18 months experience or 18 months training in accounting &/or finance to include a basic level of experience in spreadsheet software.
-OR completion of high school technical program in accounting AND 6 months experience or 6 months training in accounting or finance to include a basic level of experience in spreadsheet software.
-OR completion of associate core program in business administration, accounting, finance or related field.
-OR equivalent of education and/or experience per Minimum Class Qualifications noted above.
