We are seeking a skilled Corporate Audio/Video (AV) Engineer to support, maintain, and evolve our modern meeting-room technology ecosystem. This role focuses on deploying and supporting Cisco-based AV systems, Microsoft Teams Rooms, and enterprise-grade conferencing environments. The ideal candidate has professional corporate experience, a strong customer-service outlook, and hands-on expertise with conference room installation, large meeting/event operations and solid desktop support.
Responsibilities:
AV Systems Engineering & Support
Install, configure, and maintain corporate conference rooms, including Cisco Room Systems and Microsoft Teams Rooms
Troubleshoot AV hardware, control systems (e.g., Crestron), microphones, speakers, displays, cameras, and room PC configurations.
Manage system updates, firmware, diagnostics, and health monitoring to ensure high room uptime and reliability.
Microsoft Teams & Cisco Interoperability
Support and optimize Microsoft Teams audio/video experiences, including Teams Rooms, Surface Hubs, and interoperability via Cloud Video Interop (CVI) where Cisco hardware integrations are required, as referenced in internal engineering evaluations
Assist with configuration and support of Cisco Webex/Teams integrations, One Button to Push workflows, room registration, and platform migration initiatives.
Event & Large-Meeting Support
Provide live event support for large internal/external meetings, hybrid meetings, executive communications, and corporate broadcasts.
Set up event AV, monitor performance, resolve live issues, and ensure high-quality audio/video delivery.
Work with 3rd party live event vendors by assisting integration with our in-house production capabilities
Desktop & End-User Support
Deliver Tier 2/3 support related to AV peripherals, Teams usage, meeting connectivity, and troubleshooting of user devices that interact with conference room systems.
Assist employees with AV setups, remote join/Teams meeting issues, and peripheral configuration.
Maintain documentation, quick-start guides, and end-user support content
Implementation & Project Work
Participate in AV refresh projects, new room buildouts, upgrades, and technology migrations (Cisco Teams, hybrid AV solutions, etc.).
Work with cross-functional teams (Modern Workplace, Security, Networking, Facilities) when designing and deploying AV solutions, as outlined in internal collaboration matrices (Modern-Workplace).
Contribute feedback to improve room standards, hardware selection, and AV strategy across the enterprise.
3–5+ years of corporate AV engineering experience supporting enterprise environments
Hands-on experience with Cisco AV/room systems, Cisco Control Hub, Webex integrations, and/or CVI-based interoperability
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Teams Rooms, meeting policies, Teams device management, and hybrid meeting support workflows
Proficiency with conference room installation, including wiring, mounting, audio DSP concepts, and control interfaces (Crestron/Extron preferred)
Solid understanding of desktop support, Windows environments, network fundamentals, and AV-over-IP concepts
Ability to troubleshoot complex AV issues quickly in high-visibility environments
Experience providing support for large meetings, executive meetings, or live corporate events
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Surface Hub systems and alternative room solutions referenced in internal AV strategy documents
Experience with Zoom Rooms, Pexip, or similar platforms
Knowledge of networked AV protocols, Dante, Q-SYS, or room analytics tools
ITIL or AVIXA CTS certification
Education
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
