On behalf of our client, Personnel 2000 are recruiting for a Caymanian Accounts Payable Clerk to take on a contract role with an immediate start.
Duties:
The successful candidate will be responsible to assist with the accounting for the purchases and cash disbursements for multiple divisions of the Company and its affiliates, including:
Maintaining vendor files
Maintaining disbursement voucher files
Maintaining open-payables files by vendor
Recording purchases to division codes, department codes, job codes and general ledger account codes
Preparing spreadsheet-based allocations across divisions and departments
Coordinating with vendors and reconciling vendor statements
Preparing disbursements by cheque, bank draft and wire-transfer
Preparing disbursement vouchers
Disbursing, reimbursing and recording petty cash transactions
Accounting for purchases by company credit card
Promoting awareness of purchasing polices
Requirements:
At a minimum, candidates must have a four-year accounting degree and two years of job experience in accounting. Candidates must demonstrate:
Competence in financial accounting
Competence in financial accounting systems, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
The experience and ability to meet the deadlines attached to the responsibilities described above
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Fast, accurate data entry skills
