Human Resources Specialist (Human Resource Development)

This position is located in Whitehall, OH, within the Defense Logistics Agency.

As a Human Resources Specialist (Human Resource Development) you will be responsible for the following duties:

Serves as a Human Resources Specialist (HRD) in the Career Management Division, DLA Training.

Serves as the Program Manager for Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) training program.

Manages, reviews, and submits Defense Acquisition University (DAU) applications.

Develops and updates DAWIA/DAU Standard Operating Procedures, Instructions and Policy for the Agency.

Plans, establishes and administers all training and development requirements for serviced customers.

Develops long-term HRD strategies to correct skill imbalances and prepare DLA employees to meet the changing needs of the Agency.

Ensures that mandatory training is provided to meet certification requirements and/or other strategic needs of the Agency.

To qualify for a Human Resources Specialist (Human Resource Development), your resume and supporting documentation must support:

A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position.

Managing a comprehensive training or career development program, including planning, administration, and reporting.

Applying Human Resources Development (HRD) learning theories, principles, and methods to a mandatory training program.

Overseeing the full training life cycle, from assessing customer needs and ensuring mandatory training compliance to managing certification requirements.

Providing knowledge and direct support in forecasting and managing DAU/DAWIA certification and training needs for Major Subordinate Command (MSC) acquisition workforce personnel.

Preparing and delivering briefings on workforce development programs to all levels of management.
