POSITION SUMMARY: The EHS Intern will work closely with the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team to support initiatives aimed at reducing workplace injuries, environmental compliance and tools deployment.

The professional will also support EHS continuous improvement tasks across Balchems operations.

This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of key EHS programs, and build up of a world class injury free culture.

You will play an integral part in the application of procedures, strategies, and systems to help reduce and eliminate accidents in the workplace.

This role will have an opportunity to work on projects that directly impact workplace safety and employee well-being across multiple sites.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Assist on Offices and R&Ds locations Job Hazard Analysis, Safe measures deployment, and inspections.

* Assist on Safety Awareness campaigns, Training Modules delivery as well as general employees safety engagement initiatives.

* The intern will assist in gathering and analyzing EHS data, developing supporting tools and trend reports.

* Support on procedures, instructions and EHS documentation updates.

* Assist in presenting findings and reports to senior EHS managers, offering actionable insights for risk reduction and safety program enhancements.

* Assist on site audits, reports consolidation as well as tracking of corrective actions closing.

REQUIREMENTS: * Currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Occupational Safety, Industrial/Environmental Engineering, Ergonomics, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

The estimated salary range for this position is $20 -$25 an hour.
