1. Build, extract, and data mine a variety of large data sets, synthesize data using SQL, R, and Python, to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities in order to produce predictive insights and action items to move the business forward.
2. Design and execute experiments to produce proof of concept in order to test and validate the feasibility of business proposals, help prioritize resource investments and recommend next steps.
3. Develop predictive tools, including implementing and modeling machine learning algorithms, to examine business practices and support inventory purchasing and manufacturing decision-making.
4. Build complex ML models using Scikit-learn and XGBoost to enhance predictive accuracy and automate and optimize business processes.
5. Design and implement normalized data models to reduce redundancy of raw data, increase effectiveness, and lower costs.
6. Develop methods to systemically identify outliers using SQL and Python tools including Pandas and Scipy, test, and implement new business metrics and identify solutions to business problems using the results.
7. Identify business problems, analyze large data sets, and build forecasting models using Python and Tableau to continually improve existing processes with automation, new technology, key insights, and best practices.
8. Collaborate with analysts, data engineers, project managers, testing and design team, and subject matter experts to recommend and deliver impactful data-driven solutions and processes for new organizational initiatives.
9. Multi-task a steady flow of incoming and concurrent data analysis projects in MS Excel, including using built-in forecasting features and writing macros, and handling priorities ranging from high-visibility executive needs to ad hoc requests from internal customers.
10. Engage with business leaders, end users, and team members to develop a deep understanding of the business and its needs.
