About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Server Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade VMware environments, including vSphere 8.x and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9. This role requires deep expertise in virtualization, automation, and cloud integration within mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities

Architect, deploy, and manage VMware vSphere 8.x clusters and VCF 9 environments.

Perform lifecycle management, patching, and upgrades for ESXi hosts, vCenter, and VCF components.

Configure and optimize Aria Operations for performance and resiliency.

Configure and optimize Zerto for performance and resiliency.

Implement disaster recovery strategies using VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM).

Automate provisioning and configuration tasks using PowerCLI, PowerShell, vRealize Automation, etc.

Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues, ensuring high availability and compliance.

Collaborate with network, storage, and security teams for integrated solutions.

Document designs, processes, and operational procedures.

On-call and off-hours work, as required.

Required Qualifications

6 years of experience in server engineering and virtualization.

Expert-level knowledge of VMware vSphere 8.x and VCF 9 architecture.

Hands-on experience with Aria Operations.

Strong scripting skills (PowerCLI, PowerShell, or similar).

Familiarity with enterprise storage, networking, and security best practices.

A strong understanding of DNS & DHCP.

A good understanding of general networking. IP, subnet mask, gateway, firewall, load balancer, etc.

A good understanding of how storage works with a VMware environment. LUNs, WWN, SAN, HBAs, storage policies, etc.

Preferred Skills

Experience with hybrid cloud integrations (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Strong problem-solving and performance tuning skills.
