On behalf of their client, Personnel 2000 are currently recruiting for a temporary Clerical Officer. Our client has a need for an energetic and efficient individual to assist their team with file and records management. This is a busy role which is vital to the efficient operations of the organisation.
The Clerical Officer provides clerical support for the organisation and is responsible for the organisation and maintenance of records, such as legal documents, case files and correspondence.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills
At least 2-4 years’ work experience, at least 2 of which to be in a legal environment.
Experience of working with multiple computer systems, including proficiency in using technology including email, work processing and spreadsheets using Windows applications.
Certifications (or formal training) in Customer Service
Strong ability to maintain confidentiality
Knowledge of records management principles, methods, procedures, and techniques desirable
Knowledge of legal procedures, processes, settings and working of the Court or ability to read, comprehend and apply the Laws, Rules and procedures of the Grand and Summary Courts to given situations is desirable.
Must possess the ability to work accurately and efficiently managing time effectively to meet deadlines
Highly organized and works as part of a team and shows commitment to team objectives and targets.
Understands the impact of individual actions and behaviors on the business and reputation of the organisation and undertakes tasks accurately and thoroughly.
Has an open-minded approach to new ideas and innovations with the ability to establish standards, procedures and techniques for the effective management of court records.
Excellent communication skills in order to communicate effectively with a broad range of people/clients.
Achieves targets and deadlines through good planning and time management. Proactive, reliable, flexible, hardworking, enthusiastic with a desire to understand processes.
Proven eye for detail ensuring any discrepancies or irregularities are dealt with in accordance with defined procedures.
Experience of liaising and/or working with the general public, other organisations and agencies.
