Oak Farm Vineyards, a family-owned estate winery in Lodi, CA, is hiring a Full-Time Prep Cook to support our culinary team. This is an excellent opportunity for culinary professionals seeking winery kitchen jobs in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.
Reporting to the Head Chef and Sous Chef, the Prep Cook plays a critical role in maintaining food quality, sanitation standards, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
-Follow daily prep lists to ensure timely food preparation
-Receive and inspect deliveries for quality control
-Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation standards
-Prepare and present menu items with attention to taste, texture, temperature, and presentation
-Store food products according to California health and safety regulations
-Complete opening and closing kitchen duties
-Support large and small event food production
Qualifications:
-Minimum 1–2 years of kitchen experience (fine dining preferred)
-Culinary school graduate preferred
-Current California Food Handler Card or ServSafe Certification
-Strong knife skills and knowledge of cutting techniques
-Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
-Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
-Must be 21+ years old
