Trademark Docketing Clerk - for prominent global law firm with large IP practice group. This hybrid role supports the Trademark team of attorneys and paralegals. This role is responsible for database administration of domestic and foreign trademark registrations and applications, third-party disputes, trademark opposition, cancellation and invalidity proceedings, domain name registrations, and other trademark matters.
Duties: Enter deadlines regarding domestic/foreign trademark registrations and applications, third-party disputes, trademark opposition, cancellation/invalidity proceedings, domain name registrations, and other trademark info into trademark database. Correct errors and maintain info in trademark database. Regularly review docket to make sure deadlines are met and attorneys/paralegals are alerted to upcoming deadlines. Generate trademark deadlines/status reports. Formulate standard form letters/emails to clients regarding status of domestic and foreign trademark registrations and applications, and issuance of trademark registration certificates.
Requirements: Must have at least one full year of Trademark paralegal or clerk experience in a large law firm or corporate legal department. Experience with WebTMS (or similar) Trademark Management software. Experience with trademark prosecution filing processes and requirements. Detail and organizational skills. Strong interpersonal and written communication skills. Bachelor’s degree. Salary range is $75k - $94k, plus paid OT and generous benefits package.
