Lead Network Engineering Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

Implement and Test: Lead the deployment of new network hardware and topologies following Change Management protocols.

Strategic Solutions: Develop and propose technology-based solutions to align with business objectives.

System Deployment: Research, strategize, and roll out new systems or technologies as needed.

Expert Diagnostics: Conduct evaluations to troubleshoot and optimize network communications for corporate systems.

Support Coordination: Collaborate with the Systems Engineering team to provide advanced support to IT Operations in resolving issues.

Documentation: Generate detailed documentation for technology deployments, operational processes, and network topologies.

Partnership Development: Cultivate partnerships with partner firms or acquisitions based on precise needs.

Infrastructure Analysis: Perform thorough assessments and set standards for Infrastructure design to accommodate future expansion.

Vendor Collaboration: Engage with ISP vendors for new site installations and required upgrades.

Education and Guidance: Work alongside cross-functional teams to provide insights on tools utilized within the organization.

Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of the latest technology trends through relevant training and research.

Problem Resolution: Document solutions to problems in the designated systems.

Effective Communication: Maintain transparent communication with team members and stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.

Work Prioritization: Efficiently organize, plan, and coordinate work assignments.

Management Oversight: Lead the network engineering and operations team while offering support as necessary.

Qualifications:

Associate degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.

8+ years of industry experience with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role or equivalent.

Proficiency in Network Operations and Design is preferred.

Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems is an advantage.

Relevant certifications such as CCNA R&S, CCPN, AWS Solutions Architect are a plus.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Thorough understanding of Firewall, Router, and Switching fundamentals.

Familiarity with Dynamic Routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF) and IPsec VPNs.

Experience with monitoring tools like SolarWinds and PRTG.

Hands-on expertise with diverse networking technologies, including Cisco products and AWS cloud services.

Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking abilities.

Capability to handle and set up networking equipment and perform lifting tasks up to 50lbs.

Willingness to work beyond regular hours and participate in on-call support as needed.

The annual full-time base salary for this role ranges from $110,000 to $130,000, based on interviews and relevant experience.
