Job Description

A Melbourne, Florida based client is seeking a Internal Medicine Physician to provide excellent primary care services to the community. An ideal candidate is a self-starting leader who works well in a collaborative environment, is efficient and effective at providing medical care, and values patient centered care. Providers will have one Medical Assistant each.

Required Qualifications

Graduated from an accredited medical school with a MD or DO degree

Current Florida medical license

Completed an accredited residency program

Current DEA certificate

Board certified or board eligible in primary care

Current BLS certification

Responsibilities

Assess and diagnose a variety of diseases and injuries in patients of all ages

Manage acute and chronic conditions

Order diagnostic tests and laboratory studies, interpret results and create treatment plans based on results

Perform therapeutic procedures, manage wounds and injuries, and educate patients on their treatment plans

Arrange referrals, consultations, and therapeutic services for patients on caseload

Participates in daily interdisciplinary huddles

Assist in patient utilization review of services and quality improvement

Document all patient encounters efficiently and according to policy
