Air Import Coordinator Elk Grove Working Pattern: Hybrid — 4 days in office, 1 day remote per week System: CargoWise Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Air Import Coordinator to manage end-to-end international air freight shipments, with additional responsibility for Ocean Import operations.

The role focuses on ensuring timely cargo movement, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer service while leveraging CargoWise to maintain accurate shipment visibility and documentation.

Key Responsibilities: Air Import OperationsCoordinate and monitor international air import shipments from origin to final deliveryFile and manage import documentation (HAWB/MAWB, customs entries, arrival notices)Liaise with airlines, customs brokers, warehouses, and trucking partnersTrack shipments proactively and resolve delays or exceptionsEnsure compliance with U.S.

Customs and TSA regulations Ocean Import Support (Value-Added Skill)Handle FCL and LCL import files including ISF monitoringCoordinate vessel arrivals, container releases, and delivery ordersReview bills of lading and manage ocean freight documentationCommunicate with steamship lines, NVOCCs, and port terminals Systems & AdministrationEnter, update, and manage shipment milestones in CargoWiseMaintain accurate billing, cost accruals, and job profitabilityPrepare reports and maintain shipment records for audit purposes Customer & Vendor RelationsProvide shipment updates and proactive communication to customersResolve service issues and support continuous improvement initiativesBuild strong relationships with carriers and service providers Qualifications2+ years of Air Import freight forwarding experienceWorking knowledge of ocean import processes (FCL/LCL) (seen favourably)Hands-on experience with CargoWise (operations and billing modules preferred)Understanding of U.S.
