The Philadelphia Cricket Club is looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join our Flourtown campus Culinary Team. As the oldest country club in America, we have a lot to offer in terms of stability and growth as well as a great employee/member culture.
The Sous Chef reports directly to the Wissahickon Clubhouse Chef and is responsible for managing the daily operations of their assigned Culinary Operations in accordance with the guidelines set up by the Clubhouse Chef. The Sous Chef provides supervision and operational support to the member dining outlets on Wissahickon Campus.
Oversee the daily operations of assigned member dining area.
Responsible for the daily management of line cooks, communicating with them about there daily tasks and helping them organize their daily tasks.
Responsible for the closing of the kitchen on a nightly basis in accordance to the standards set forth by Wissahickon Clubhouse Chef.
Cook or directly supervise the execution of items requiring skillful preparation.
Communicate with direct supervisor, assigned team and others to ensure plans for each service are executed with precision, consistency, and quality.
Assist with supervision and management of a culinary team, including providing them with guidance, mentoring, and direction.
Comply with food safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Enforce controls to avoid food waste and other losses.

Referral programRequirements:
· Minimum 2 Years of experience as a Cook 1 or equivalent position.
· Experience in high volume scratch kitchens; Private Club experience a plus.
· Previous management/supervisor experience is preferred.
· Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
· Understanding of common food allergies and ingredients to ensure member safety and satisfaction.
· Ability to perform physical activities that require use of arms and legs, moving the whole body, such as occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching and handling materials.
