We are looking for enthusiastic and creative Elementary teachers to teach during the 2026-2027 school year.
Positions may be in upper or lower elementary grades.
Summary description: To create a class environment conducive to learning and personal growth; to establish effective rapport with students; to motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for continuing education in accordance with each student’s ability; to establish/foster healthy relationships with parents and other staff members.
Primary responsibilities: Curriculum/Planning Annually prepare/update/submit a curriculum map that includes all state standards and material covered on state assessments Collaborate with other teachers in your content area to vertically align all curriculum maps to ensure all students' success in your content area Implement the district curriculum provided by the curriculum teams Instruction/Lessons Present lessons that are engaging, relevant, and align with the submitted curriculum map Modify/Adjust instruction based upon classroom assessment data to ensure mastery of concepts Modify instructional practices/routines in accordance with students’ IEP, 504, ELL, or Gifted identifications Assessments/Classwork Use both formal and informal assessments throughout each lesson Assign classwork/homework regularly that reviews or prepares for the lesson Use a variety of instructional strategies, such as inquiry, group discussions, lecture, discovery, and instructional aides, to engage students in active learning Classroom Management Create a positive educational climate for students Implement a positive behavior reward system Follow all PPA policies to help ensure uniformity of the program Professional Development Observe and collaborate with other teachers in the building multiple times throughout the year for mutual growth/development in accordance with the peer observation program Attend professional development opportunities throughout the school year or summer for your continuous improvement Reflect and evaluate lessons/policies/practices often Additional Items Build a relationship with students and parents so that they know you want only the best for the student Maintain strong collaborative relationships with teachers, instructional support staff, and others.
