Job Title: DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Rate: $Market/Hour - W2

Summary: We are hiring a DevOps Engineer (AWS) for a 12-month Contract-to-Hire role to support and scale cloud infrastructure in a fully Remote (U.S.) environment while working EST hours. The ideal candidate will bring 10–15 years of overall IT experience, including 7+ years of hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer, with deep expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS), containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code. You will collaborate closely with development and engineering teams to deploy product updates, automate and manage cloud infrastructure, enhance system reliability and security, and optimize performance and cost across cloud-based platforms.
Key Skills:
• Strong knowledge of DevOps practices and methodologies
• AWS services (EKS, ECS, API Gateway, CloudWatch)
• Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, CloudFormation
• CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins)
• Configuration management: Ansible, Packer
• Monitoring and observability: CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana
• Scripting: Python, Bash
• Linux operating systems
• Relational databases: SQL / PostgreSQL
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Qualifications / Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and DevOps tools
• Understanding of computer hardware, software systems, and IT architectures
• Knowledge of design techniques and principles used in system modeling and analysis
• Proactive mindset with a strong willingness to learn and adapt
