Treasury Associate / Payments Analyst

Pay: $48,000 – $54,000
THE POSITION:
The Treasury Team is responsible for the development, implementation, research, and review of treasury and compliance processes for transaction requests and other client-related activities. This role supports transaction review, provides guidance on electronic payment and banking platform applications, and assists with training and procedural updates. Projects and ad hoc reporting/analysis tasks will be assigned as needed
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct primary review of transactions to ensure accuracy (checks, Fed wires, ACH batches)
Review investor wire instructions and bulk cash distributions
Obtain and demonstrate strong working knowledge of 20+ online banking platforms
Maintain and update internal procedures and resources
Act as backup transaction preparer during high-volume periods
Assist management with data collection for department reporting
Maintain incoming check logs and manage digital/mail deposit processing
Ensure client accounts are accurately added to the Check Factory system
Complete electronic approvals/releases within banking systems as required
Assist with training and updates related to treasury procedures
Coordinate and complete special projects as assigned
Exposure to KYC/OFAC/AML compliance and watch list monitoring
Provide training and guidance on new banking features (e.g., wire upload/import templates for high-volume distributions)
Offer creative solutions to reduce errors and support audit/control adherence
Ability to multitask across competing priorities throughout the day
Professionally and confidently advise colleagues on processes
Continuously update job knowledge through trainings and professional development
Perform additional duties as assigned by management
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Degree not required
Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s in Business, Finance, or related field is beneficial.
At least 1+ year of experience in Banking, Treasury, Accounting, or Finance (with electronic payments exposure is ideal
ACH and/or wire transfer experience strongly preferred
High attention to detail with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
Experience with LexisNexis, Check Factory, and online banking platforms highly considered
Strong planning and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively (written and verbal) with clients and internal teams
