Senior Technical Consultant / Senior Developer

JOB TITLE : Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations – Senior Technical Consultant / Senior Developer

HYBRID, BANGALORE, 7+ years experience

ROLE SUMMARY:

We are seeking a skilled Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) Technical Consultant to design, develop, and support scalable ERP solutions. The role involves X++ development, integrations, extensions, reporting, and performance optimization, working closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders.

COMMON TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES (Across All F&O Modules)

1. Core Development & Customization

* Design and develop customizations and extensions using X++

* Build and enhance forms, tables, classes, data entities, and reports

* Follow extension-based development best practices (no over-layering)

* Support technical design documents (TDD) and code reviews

* Implement workflows, batch jobs, and business events

* Integrations & Data

2. Develop and support integrations using:

* OData services

* REST APIs

* DMF (Data Management Framework)

* Custom data entities

* Handle data migration, validation, and reconciliation

* Work with Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Service Bus, Functions)\

3. Security & Frameworks

Configure and extend:

* Security roles, duties, and privileges

* Role-based security & segregation of duties

* Leverage standard F&O frameworks:

* Number sequences

* Financial dimensions

* Posting & ledger frameworks

* SysOperation framework.

REPORTING & ANALYTICS

* Develop and customize:

* SSRS reports

* Electronic Reporting (ER)

* Document handling & templates

* Support Power BI datasets & embedded analytics.

LIFECYCLE & SUPPORT

Participate in:

* Code migration across environments

* Build & release management via Azure DevOps

* LCS issue tracking and monitoring

* Support UAT, go-live, hypercare, and production support

* Debug and resolve performance & functional defects.

COMMON TOOLS & TECHNOLOGIES

* X++, Visual Studio

* Dynamics 365 F&O architecture

* Azure DevOps, LCS

* SQL (for troubleshooting & performance tuning)

* Power Platform (Power Automate, Dataverse – working knowledge)

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

* 8+ years of ERP technical development experience

* 5+ years of Dynamics 365 F&O technical development

* Strong hands-on experience in X++

* Proven experience with integrations & data migration

* Understanding of Finance & SCM processes (functional awareness)

NICE TO HAVE

Experience with:

* Project Ops or HRMS technical customizations

* ISV solutions and third-party integrations

* Microsoft D365 Technical Certifications

* Exposure to global / multi-legal entity implementations.
