Systems Engineering Manager Digital Signals (m/f/d)

You will work closely with spacecraft systems engineering to ensure acceptable payload performance during the design phase and the in-orbit test phase. A portfolio of project responsibilities will be assigned with the objective of develop the Network architecture of the satellite system (including MEO and LEO constellations), integration with the ground segment, definition of interface requirements, and customer facility assessment. Simultaneous projects in various stages allows for a unique and exciting combination of tasks from early development, to on-ground and in-orbit performance evaluation.

Definition of the Network architecture, including Space nodes, Ground nodes and User TerminalsDefinition of link budgets and communication protocols with assessment of implication over the Digital Payload architecturePerform traffic model simulationsPerform sub-systems and systems architecture trade-offs and performance analysisInteract directly with suppliers (space, ground and user), reviewing unit level performance and interfaces for suitability and assess impacts to performance (travel to supplier facilities are foreseen)Definition of IRD towards Space, Ground and User segmentsSupport the Payload System Engineers for the definition of on-board-processing requirementsPerform assessment of ground facilitiesParticipate to studies and proposals

Degree in telecommunications, electronics, electrical, informatics or comparable disciplineAdvanced knowledge of Network Management for terrestrial applicationExperience in modelling traffic routing of complex systemsExcellent organization, prioritization, and communications skillsEnglish working level proficiencyKnowledge of the 5G protocol with familiarity on the 3GPP workgroupKnowledge of Space Communication protocol standards (DBS, CCSDS..), Security and Cybersecuritywould be an asset
