Network Administrator Level 2 shall provide support for network operations. The Network Administration support conduct analysis, recommendation, installation, configuration, monitoring, O&M of hardware and software as needed to continuously maintain and enhance organizational networks/domains.
Responsibilities
Support the end-to-end system for the network to include but not limited to facility cable plant, layer 2 and 3 Provide desktop/server and software application integration support
System configuration management
Support all circuit actions as required Ensure a secure operating environment by monitoring network administration access and adherence to established policies and procedures
Provide technical assistance in support of all assigned projects pertaining to network inter-operability and integration requirements. Support desktop/server and software network connectivity
Perform and resolve problems associated with hardware and network systems.
Support and maintain network monitoring and analysis tools
Support in the detection of network problems Account management and work with the ISM
Support software and firmware maintenance on network devices
Support in maintaining and semi-annually publishing a Comprehensive As-Built System Engineering Plan Research and recommend new technologies and upgrades to keep up with current technological developments
Perform network analysis for tuning, troubleshooting and optimization
Design, plan and implementation of network topologies
Qualifications
DoDM 8140 IAT Level 2 certification or higher
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent certification
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or Networking or 5+ years Switching and Routing Network experience
Must have an active Secret clearance or above
Regular Full-Time
