A Day in the Life:
Join our dynamic team as a Senior Data Engineer specializing in IBM Sterling Managed File Transfer (MFT). In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Sterling B2B Integrator, Sterling File Gateway, Sterling Secure Proxy, and Control Center to support our B2B integration initiatives. Your focus will be on optimizing software infrastructure, driving continuous improvement, and automating enterprise data movement in a vital, multi-location environment.
The ideal candidate is a technology enthusiast who thrives on creating impactful change. You will have experience in designing, developing, and implementing solutions that enhance data quality and automation. Your responsibilities will include understanding project requirements, performance testing of infrastructure, and verifying successful implementation of those requirements.
We anticipate a starting salary around $135k, commensurate with experience.
What You'll Do:
Engage with internal and external stakeholders on Sterling Integrator mappings to enhance integration.
Implement changes to existing partner integrations to adhere to evolving business requirements.
Design and develop solutions that align with enterprise standards, mitigate risks, and enhance operational efficiencies.
Diagnose complex issues, restore services, and perform thorough root cause analyses.
Collaborate with architecture governance bodies to review and validate designs.
Maintain a strong awareness of security protocols related to the Sterling environment and integrations.

What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field is required.
5+ years of experience in IT.
4+ years working with Sterling B2B Integrator and Sterling File Gateway; PCM experience is preferred.
3+ years of scripting experience to automate standard activities (e.g., Ansible, Python, Bash, Java).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
Strong critical thinking skills and a proven ability to identify and resolve complex problems with straightforward solutions.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating technical and non-technical issues to diverse audiences.
Experience in the travel, transportation, or hospitality sectors is preferred.
Familiarity with designing application data models for web or mobile applications is an advantage.
Flexibility in work schedule may be required, including availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.
