Position Overview:
As a key player in our commissioning projects, you will be responsible for overseeing all electrical facets, including design reviews, safety support, vendor coordination, and testing. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that electrical systems function at optimal standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Promote and enforce safety protocols for all electrical testing.
Conduct thorough commissioning and performance testing of electrical infrastructure systems.
Oversee quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) of electrical testing procedures.
Contribute insightful input to the overall commissioning plan.
Prepare detailed reports for the electrical commissioning team and assist with daily project updates.
Actively participate in customer equipment Factory Witness Tests.
Manage effective vendor relationships and coordination.
Inspect equipment to ensure compliance with vendor specifications.
Document test results and ensure all equipment is installed and operable.
Diligently review design specifications and project documentation.
Perform inspections of electrical installation and startup activities.
Execute testing scripts to confirm equipment functionality against design specifications.
Foster a safety-oriented culture within the commissioning team and at client sites.
Engage proactively with customers to ensure satisfaction and project alignment.
Conduct facility walkthroughs, turnover procedures, and punch list reviews.
Understand LEED specifications and identify potential service opportunities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
5 to 7 years of experience specifically in Data Center Commissioning.
Familiarity with OSHA and NFPA 70E safety standards.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong ability to interpret electrical schematics and specifications.
Solid understanding of data center design principles.
Experience with various electrical distribution systems such as Switchgear, Substations, UPS, ATS, and Generators.
Knowledge of power quality analysis methodologies.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Capable of producing clear commissioning scripts and comprehensive reports.
Additional Information:
Exceptionally strong written and oral English skills are necessary.
Willingness to travel frequently, up to 75% of the time.
Must possess a valid Passport or have the capability to obtain one without delay.
Prepared to work under diverse construction site conditions.
Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship is required.
