Job Title: Embedded Systems Engineer

Job Summary
Develop software for a wide range of devices and be involved in product development from Inception to production in a fast-paced R&D setting. You would be involved in assessment of product requirements, user interface design, software architecture and backend development, and validation. Role includes working with 3rd party developers on various applications and supporting legacy products with bug-fixes and feature improvements. Work on multiple simultaneous projects with a cross-functional team of engineers and designers.
Job Description
Duties and responsibilities:
Writing Software for Embedded Microcontrollers
Reviewing / Updating Software written by other Developers for various platforms
Testing and Validation of Software / Systems
Interpreting Electrical Schematic Drawings
Review and Selection of Electrical Components
Writing Technical Documentation / Instructions
Collaborating on Creation of Design Requirements / Specifications
Understanding and Ability to meet Compliance and Testing Requirements
Collaborating with 3rd Party Developers and Vendors
Supporting manufacturing process controls as needed
Needed experience & technical knowledge:
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related Discipline
Two years of relevant experience
Demonstrated ability to work with others in a dynamic team environment
Familiarity with C++, C#, and Java coding languages
Proficiency with GIT Repositories
Ability to work with little supervision
Excellent time management and prioritization skills
Strong work ethic and a desire for excellence
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Strong Organizational skills
Good Technical Writing Skills
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with embedded Linux development (Yocto Project)
Familiarity with PID control logic
Familiarity with Electrical Schematic and PCB layout design
Experience selecting electrical components
Understanding of thermodynamics and heat transfer
