Machine Assembler - RWT Corp dba Schaefer Machine and Potdevin Machine

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Assembler will work within a team-based environment and collaborate with people from other departments.

Common responsibilities for the Assembler are:

Read and decipher schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.

Produce components by assembling parts and sub-assemblies.

Positions and aligns components and parts.

Uses hand/power tools or machines to assemble parts.

Test finishes products for defects.

Maintains the tools used to create products.

Keeps a clean and well-maintained workspace.

Follows company procedures and safety rules.

Performs other job duties as requested by shop manager.

Education and Requirements:

Mechanical aptitude - understanding machinery and fit-up/assembly repair.

General electrical knowledge.

High school diploma or GED.

Able to lift 40 lbs.

Safety management mindset.

Basic computer skills (familiarity with ERP systems a plus)

Good communication skills in English - both written and verbal

Forklift operator a plus but not needed. Will train.
