Job Description
We are seeking a CMM Programmer to develop, maintain, and operate programs that inspect and verify dimensions of manufactured components and ensure products meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements by using precision measurement tools and advanced metrology software. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Job Responsibilities:
Create, develop, and implement CMM inspection programs using software such as PC DMIS, PolyWorks, or other metrology platforms
Conduct dimensional inspections, first article inspections, and verification of production parts and perform 3D scanning and laser/blue light inspection as needed
Review blueprints, models, GD&T, and specifications to determine inspection criteria
Document inspection results, calibration data, and quality reports and support root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives to address quality issues
Assist production and engineering teams with troubleshooting, design feedback, and resolving measurement related issues and participate in quality audits and ensure compliance with industry standards
Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot CMM machines and related inspection equipment
Recommend, acquire, and integrate new inspection technologies to improve measurement capability
Job Requirements
Job Qualifications:
Associate degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Metrology, or related field is preferred
Must have 1 to 3 years of CMM programming or dimensional inspection experience typically required
Certifications such as GD&T, CMM, ASQ CQT/CQE, or similar are highly valued
Must have a strong understanding of GD&T, ANSI/ASME, and ISO quality standards
Must have experience in quality systems, process capability (SPC), and measurement techniques
Proficiency with CMM programming software (e.g., PC DMIS, PolyWorks) is needed
Must be able to interpret engineering drawings, 3D CAD models, and inspection documentation
Must have strong troubleshooting and analytical skills while being detail oriented
