The Platform Product Group engineers are on a mission to create a trusted, scalable, and compliant platform that operates with speed, efficiency, and quality. The Core Automation Team, part of this group, is dedicated to developing innovative AI infrastructure and automation solutions that boost productivity and create substantial customer impact. In this role, you will leverage advanced AI models and frameworks, using a diverse range of data sources, including blockchain data, to facilitate cryptocurrency adoption and improve customer interactions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Utilizing advanced GenAI techniques, such as large language models (LLMs) and Agentic AI, to address complex organizational challenges.

Leading projects through effective management of priorities, deadlines, and deliverables using your technical expertise.

Writing high-quality, well-tested code in Python and Golang to meet critical business needs.

Designing scalable, secure systems using modern cloud technologies and industry best practices.

Mentoring team members on design principles, coding standards, and the use of AI productivity tools.

Troubleshooting intricate technical issues to improve system reliability and scalability.

Reviewing and ensuring the architectural integrity, security, and scalability of feature designs across teams.

Creating integration pipelines with third-party vendors to streamline workflows.

We look for the following qualifications:

A minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering.

Proven expertise in designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services, especially within micro-services architecture.

Capability to deliver high-quality, well-tested code that meets customer requirements.

A strong understanding of high-quality code and software engineering processes, with the ability to nurture a supportive environment.

Solid technical skills in system design and coding.

A passion for creating an open financial system that connects people worldwide.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, valuing transparent cultural practices.

Preferred experience includes:

Experience navigating the rapid growth of a company (e.g., from startup to mid-size).

Familiarity with GenAI frameworks/tools, Python, GoLang, Docker, Postgres, and MongoDB.

A background in AI/LLM infrastructure is a significant advantage.

Answers to crypto-related questions may be used to evaluate your onchain experience.

The target annual salary for this position ranges from $186,065 to $218,900 USD. Coinbase also offers a target bonus and equity along with benefits (including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).
