Position Summary: As the Operational Assistant Manager, you will play a vital role in enhancing the management and operational efficiency of a vibrant Taco Bell restaurant. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional customer service and leading a team to achieve operational excellence. You will work collaboratively under the guidance of the Restaurant General Manager to ensure the restaurant operates smoothly, meets high standards of cleanliness, hospitality, product quality, and speed of service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Welcome customers with enthusiasm and accurately take their orders.
Prepare and package delicious food and drink items according to our restaurant guidelines.
Handle cash registers, process payments and provide change efficiently.
Ensure cleanliness and sanitation throughout the restaurant, including kitchen, dining areas, and restrooms.
Assist in food preparation and dishwashing tasks when necessary.
Restock inventory and supplies to maintain operational flow.
Manage shifts effectively, ensuring fair treatment of employees while adhering to workplace laws.
Provide ongoing coaching and constructive feedback to team members.
Assist in hiring, training, and onboarding new Taco Bell employees.
Address any safety concerns to promote a secure work environment.
Report serious issues to management and human resources when required.
Conduct daily food safety and preparation audits to uphold quality standards.
Monitor daily inventory performance and share responsibility for cash procedures.
Assist in creating staff schedules that optimize team deployment.
Track speed of service and resolve any bottlenecks to achieve goals.
Monitor inventory and food preparation daily, ensuring compliance with company standards.
Manage daily inventory, deliveries, restaurant opening and closing procedures, and staffing adjustments.
Analyze sales, labor metrics, inventory, and expenses continuously, taking corrective action as needed to meet sales targets and financial goals. Maintain responsibility for cash handling processes, including bank deposits and safe audits. Assist in maintaining proper timekeeping and payroll procedures with the Restaurant General Manager.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old.
Preference for internal candidates who have completed all required training and certifications.
A high school diploma or GED is required.
At least 6 months of experience in a supervisory role within a service-oriented business is preferred.
Must have legal eligibility to work in the United States.
Open availability with the ability to work flexible hours across all shifts as needed.
Basic math and reading skills required.
Strong oral and written communication abilities.
A quick learner with a positive, can-do attitude.
Demonstrate good hygiene and professionalism at work.
Reliable transportation with the ability to arrive on time.
