Key Responsibilities:

Develop innovative services using Golang to meet critical product and business requirements.

Design scalable systems to address unique challenges utilizing modern cloud technology and industry best practices.

Provide a strategic vision for the maintenance and scalability of our backend systems and teams.

Collaborate across teams—engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership—to translate our product and technical aspirations into a practical quarterly roadmap.

Produce high-quality, thoroughly tested code that fulfills customer needs.

What We're Looking For:

A minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience.

Experience in designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services, with a solid understanding of service-oriented architecture.

Strong skills in writing high-quality, well-tested code.

A deep passion for creating an open financial system that connects people globally.

Leadership capabilities to mentor and develop fellow engineers.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a rapidly growing company transitioning from startup to mid-size.

Familiarity with blockchain technology (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum).

Proficiency in Golang, Postgres, MongoDB, or DynamoDB.

Experience in developing financial, high-reliability, or security systems.

Crypto-focused experience, including knowledge of on-chain activities such as utilizing Ethereum addresses, engaging with ENS, and interacting with dApps or blockchain services.

Pay Transparency Notice: The target annual salary for this role ranges from $186,065 to $218,900 USD. All full-time offers from Coinbase include target bonuses, equity, and comprehensive benefits.
