Job Title: Machine OperatorJob Description
As a Machine Operator, you will operate computer numerical controlled (CNC) machines, including milling machines, lathes, turning centers, and horizontal mills. These machines are used for constructing aircraft interior structural and non-structural parts, such as floor fittings, aluminum trims, countertops, and other components. This role requires adherence to engineering drawings, company, and customer specifications.Responsibilities
Adhere to company and customer specifications, work instructions, engineering prints, and work orders.
Document materials and processes to maintain product traceability.
Load programs into CNC machines and execute program cutting of the material.
Cut raw stock to approximate size necessary for the part being machined.
Secure and fixture raw stock material into the machine.
Square material prior to running the program if necessary.
Monitor the machine operation to ensure proper program performance.
Provide feedback to supervisor and programmer regarding program and tooling performance.
Verify the accuracy of parts using calipers, micrometers, and other metrology equipment.
Ensure the machine is in proper working order and report any issues immediately.
Maintain cleanliness and order around the machine area.
Properly maintain coolant, including removal of contaminants, maintaining proper dilution ratio, and cleaning and recharging the machine with coolant as necessary.Essential Skills
Familiarity with the basic operation of CNC machines and understanding of G and M code or the ability to learn.
Ability to read and write English at a level necessary for successful job performance.
Good hand/eye coordination.
Sensitivity to safety regulations and requirements.
Ability to self-inspect work and correct discrepancies in a timely manner.Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
0-3 years of experience in a related field.
Ability to conduct routine tasks as directed.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
