Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program or equivalent of experience and education.
RCMS certification.
One year of adult echocardiography experience. Pediatric experience preferred.
Proficient computer skills
Ability to work independently and efficiently.
Ability to work well with other technologists, physicians, patients, and other members of the clinic.
CPR certification
Professional attitude and appearance.
Ability to communicate well both orally and in writing. Responsibilities:
Perform echocardiograms under the direction of the cardiologists.
Perform exams as scheduled or otherwise maintaining efficient workflow.
Perform all exams per protocol and IAC accreditation guidelines.
Ensure proper patient identification and anatomical orientation on all images.
Report any equipment problems or deficiencies to the Imaging Manager.
Adhere to safety standards during procedure.
Adhere to safety standards in operation of equipment.
Review results for quality and accuracy.
Relay pertinent information to cardiologist.
Maintain record of procedures performed.
Review CPT charges for accuracy.
Adequately stock working area.
Follow all HIPAA policies.
Follow established OSHA policies.
Maintain credentials
Adhere to the STAR values of BWC
Participate in continuing education opportunities.
Assist with obtaining and maintaining echocardiography accreditation.
Perform other duties in the Imaging Department as may be assigned.
