Healthy Kids Programs is looking for a passionate, energetic, and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a part-time Assistant Director for our Before and After School Program for the 2025-2026 school year within Collingswood, NJ
In the event of the Site Director's absence, the Assistant Director will assume responsibility for supervising and managing the program, as well as performing any duties typically assigned to the Site Director.
JOB STATUS: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
LOCATION: Collingswood, NJ
PAY: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
HOURS: 7:00 - 9:00 am and 2:30 - 5:45 pm

Key Responsibilities
Program Compliance: Ensure all staff and program operations consistently adhere to state regulations, Healthy Kids guidelines, and host school expectations.
Program Leadership: Design and facilitate engaging, hands-on activities aligned with the Healthy Kids curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and homework assistance.
Program Management: Manage daily operational responsibilities such as accurate attendance and enrollment records, staff scheduling, and maintaining appropriate staffing coverage.
Family Communication: Foster clear and ongoing communication with parents and caregivers through the Playground App.
Team Collaboration: Partner consistently with your supervisor to share updates, resolve concerns, and promote a supportive team culture. Together, you will uphold high-quality programming, strong staff engagement, and proactive solutions.
Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Candidates must meet ONE of the following qualification options:
Bachelor's Degree in Education, Psychology, Health Care, Nursing, or any other field related to Child Growth and Development, or Teaching Certification from the Department of Education in Elementary Education, Nursery School, Preschool through Third Grade (P-3) or Teacher of the Handicapped. In addition to, six Early Childhood credits and two years of experience working with children.
Bachelor's Degree in any field other than those listed above. Plus, six Early Childhood credits and four years of experience working with children.
Head Teacher endorsement from the New Jersey Registry for Childhood Professionals, Professional Impact New Jersey.
QUALIFICATIONS
You have medical clearance to perform all job duties and are free from communicable diseases, including tuberculosis (TB).
You bring a warm, friendly, and positive attitude, with strong interpersonal skills when working with children, parents, and team members. You are professional, dependable, and punctual.
You are able to meet the physical demands of the role, including bending, stretching, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds, and actively engaging with energetic children.
