As a Lead ServiceNow Security Operations Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the security capabilities of our ServiceNow platform. Reporting to the Director of Information Security Engineering, you will guide the development and optimization of Security Incident Response (SIR) and Vulnerability Response (VR) modules while adhering to our enterprise platform standards.
This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic architect and hands-on engineer who will work alongside our platform team, IT engineering groups, and external partners to create secure, scalable, and automated solutions that enhance incident detection and response.
Your Responsibilities
Lead the architectural design and development of ServiceNow's Security Incident Response (SIR) and Vulnerability Response (VR) features to ensure top-tier functionality and compliance with SNHU's security policies.
Provide expert daily administration and operational support for the Security Operations modules, including workflow management and configuration updates.
Act as the primary contact for SNHU-specific customizations within the VR and SecOps modules, ensuring they remain relevant and effective through regular assessments.
Resolve complex technical issues related to platform performance and integration functionality.
Develop and maintain scripts and custom solutions using ServiceNow best practices.
Implement secure integrations between ServiceNow and various enterprise systems, using REST/SOAP APIs and secure protocols.
Collaborate with third-party vendors to validate integration health and enhance service delivery.
Oversee platform health, focusing on the stability of the Security Operations modules and compliance with governance standards.
Serve as a senior-level escalation for all ServiceNow issues pertaining to Information Security Management.
Mentor junior engineers and administrators, promoting best practices and code quality.
Work collaboratively across teams to translate security and compliance requirements into automated solutions.
Facilitate communication during major incidents and planned updates, ensuring smooth operations and issue resolution.
Participate in Business Verification Testing (BVT) to confirm the functionality of SNHU-specific customizations after platform changes.
Ensure ongoing compliance with SNHU's platform usage of security tools and facilitate transitions to newly supported modules.
Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge resources for operational continuity.
What We’re Looking For:
4+ years of ServiceNow administration and development experience.
5+ years in ITSM frameworks with a strong understanding of ITIL processes.
Relevant certifications such as ITIL Foundation and ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
Experience in customizations within Security Incident Response and Vulnerability Response modules.
Proficiency in JavaScript, and experience with Agile or DevOps methodologies.
Strong integration experience using REST and SOAP, including security practices.
Skills in building dashboards and reporting metrics via ServiceNow.
Familiarity with ServiceNow GRC or SOAR capabilities.

Compensation
The annual pay range for this position is $94,130.00 - $150,634.00, based on skills, qualifications, and experience.
