What Software Engineering contributes to Cardinal Health

Our Software Engineering team is vital in designing, developing, implementing, and supporting applications and systems that are essential to achieve our business goals.

Expert knowledge of software development methodologies and fluency in programming languages and APIs.

Strong understanding of hardware/software platforms, including operating systems, databases, application servers, and integration technologies.

Proficient in planning and executing successful system implementations to minimize risks of outages.

Conceptual knowledge of architecture standards, databases, and operating systems.

Effective problem-solving skills to resolve production issues promptly.

Utilize monitoring tools and analytics to drive continuous improvement in system stability and performance.

Deep understanding of software development life cycles, business process modeling, and application design patterns.

The Lead Engineer, SAP FICO will facilitate the implementation and support of SAP Financials and Controlling, improving client business functionality and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include:

Responsibilities:

Configuring SAP systems within the SAP FICO module, including GL, AP, AR, and FA sub-modules.

Utilizing extensive knowledge in output types, GL determination, movement types, and Product Costing to lead successful project implementations.

Developing finance solutions that optimize Cardinal Health's SAP investments.

Providing guidance on SAP financial integration within Order to Cash and Procure to Pay processes.

Leading complex projects by sharing functional expertise and guiding clients on SAP products.

Building strong collaborative relationships with other IT and Business teams to ensure effective execution.

Mentoring SAP teams, providing expert advice to various groups within Cardinal.

Understanding the enterprise perspective to inform decision-making.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

10+ years of experience in SAP FICO and Integration.

5+ years of hands-on SAP FICO configuration experience across General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Intercompany Accounting, and Product Costing.

5+ years of experience in full cycle implementation and project support.

Good understanding of SAP BRIM and its Financial integration with FI-CA/RAR.

Experience implementing SAP DPA (Digital Payments Add-on).

Knowledge of SAP financial integration in Procure to Pay processes.

Expertise in configuring DMEE Tree and EBS formats.

Hands-on experience with EDI configuration and testing.

Experience with SAP ECC and S/4 HANA.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated leadership capability.

Anticipated salary range: $123,400 - $176,300
