Job Title: Operator I (Packaging)

Location: Sylmar, CA 91342

Duration: 6-Month Contract

Pay Rate: $21.50 per hour

Schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Employment Type: Contract with potential for full-time conversion based on performance

Job Summary

The Operator I position supports the tracking, receiving, and sorting of medical equipment that has been used by patients or explanted for failure analysis. Working under supervision, this role involves visual inspection, material sorting, accurate data entry, and strict adherence to established quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The position operates within a biohazard laboratory environment and requires full compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Track, receive, and sort returned or explanted medical equipment

Perform visual inspections in accordance with quality procedures

Enter and maintain accurate data in internal systems

Label and document materials following established protocols

Follow all safety, quality, and regulatory guidelines

Maintain a clean and organized work area

Communicate effectively with team members and support staff Qualifications

Strong attention to detail, particularly with data entry, labeling, and documentation

Ability to lift and move boxes of equipment (up to approximately 50 lbs)

Clear verbal and written communication skills

Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel

Ability to follow written procedures and verbal instructions

Comfortable working in a biohazard laboratory environment Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required
