Job Overview:
The Engineering Manager leads the development, optimization, and implementation of manufacturing processes to ensure safety, quality, and cost efficiency. This role manages a cross-functional team of engineers and maintenance professionals to drive continuous improvement, automation, and innovation in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor engineering and maintenance teams to achieve plant performance goals.
Design and implement efficient manufacturing layouts and workflows using Lean Manufacturing principles.
Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Production teams to ensure manufacturability of new and existing products.
Manage engineering projects, including budgets, timelines, and technical deliverables.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to eliminate production inefficiencies.
Identify and implement process and equipment improvements using automation and advanced manufacturing technologies.
Oversee capital expenditure (CapEx) projects to meet business objectives and ROI targets.
Support new product launches and ensure compliance with customer and regulatory standards.
Train internal teams and vendors on technical requirements and best practices.
Maintain documentation, testing records, and validation reports for process compliance.
Promote a safety-first culture and ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (advanced degree preferred).
7–10 years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Proven expertise in Lean Manufacturing, process improvement, and automation systems.
Hands-on knowledge of AIAG Core Tools: APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, MSA, and SPC.
Experience managing technical projects and capital investments.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and team leadership abilities across cross-functional teams.

Proven process improvement track record.
Experience with AIAG standards and automotive manufacturing environments.
