Rewind Operator

Shift/Hours: 1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM Job Overview: The rewind operator is responsible for the operation of an inspection machine/slitter and/or rewind tabletop machine, assuring quality labels are sent to the customer.

Principal Responsibilities:Comply with all company and safety policies and procedures.Read job ticket carefully before setting up and running machine.Input job order information into the computer; set specifications on the machine (measurement accuracy and attention to detail required).Attach slitting blades to machine when necessary.Inspect and remove all defects, properly re-splice the roll, stamp each role.Lift order onto the machine.View labels with assistance of strobe light.Comply with quality assurance specifications of the customer and Macaran, including but not limited to handling procedures, paperwork requirements, and operation of the quality inspection machine.Complete quality assurance sheet and associated documentation.Responsible for following processes and procedures.Responsible for cleanliness of machinery and organization of the workspace; light maintenance of machinery and slitting blades may also be required.Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:Lifting to fifty pounds is required.A good eye for color and attention to detail is required.3+ years of label rewind machine operation preferred.Prior experience running Rotoflex HSI Series machines or other comparable machines preferred.Ability to decipher colors.Must be able to pass pre-employment screening, including drug testing.
