OVERVIEW:
The Junior Customer Development Manager (JCDM) plays a key role in driving growth for LAL, managing account planning, supporting onboarding processes, and conducting analytics across designated areas. As a business lead for RxSight at the account level, this position ensures practice development initiatives are aligned with measurable LAL adoption goals. JCDMs engage customers tactically through data-driven planning, referral strategies, and collaboration with CTSs to explore growth opportunities in the market.
Key responsibilities include real-time analytics reviews, developing 30/60/90-day plans, and conducting site-specific business assessments. JCDMs are integral to supporting LAL adoption and driving same-store sales growth. They analyze customer data to unveil opportunities and guide resource allocation by geography and division trends. Furthermore, JCDMs work to expand the Open Access Model through targeted OD engagement and referral development, acting as a trusted partner to practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Implement tactical initiatives and programs that enhance LAL adoption and improve account-level performance.
Conduct ongoing analytics to identify trends and performance issues, focusing on actionable outcomes.
Co-lead strategic planning sessions with new customers to align on goals and training needs.
Create and manage comprehensive account plans with 30, 60, and 90-day execution strategies, collaborating closely with CTS partners.
Maintain accurate CRM documentation for all accounts, tracking important metrics such as premium percentages and LAL penetration.
Drive regional engagement strategies to support the pipeline of LAL patients.
Oversee the onboarding processes for new customers in partnership with CTSs, focusing on metrics like time to first implant.
Conduct formal business reviews with accounts to assess LAL adoption effectiveness and make data-driven adjustments.
Collaborate with CTS and Sales teams to identify and address growth barriers while developing adoption strategies. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Strong foundational knowledge of clinical ophthalmology concerning practice workflows and patient flow optimization.
Ability to analyze clinical and commercial performance data effectively.
Experience in co-leading customer planning processes and implementing business strategies.
Understanding of ophthalmic clinic operations and premium technology positioning.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Capable of managing multiple projects while successfully achieving LAL growth targets. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position does not include direct supervision but is responsible for leading initiatives across assigned practices and coordinating with various team members (CTS, Sales, Marketing).
Serving as a role model for behavior and performance is essential. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and TRAINING:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, or related field preferred.
At least 3 years of proven sales experience in medical device, biotechnology, or pharmaceuticals.
Experience in customer onboarding, business development, or tactical account roles is strongly preferred.
Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
Familiarity with CRM systems and patient flow design is a plus.
Completion of specified training requirements is expected within the first 30 days and on an annual basis thereafter. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Familiarity with CRM and commercial databases. PERFORMANCE METRICS AND EXPECTATIONS:
Meeting quarterly LAL unit growth targets for each account.
Timely execution of onboarding plans and strategic growth roadmaps.
Accurate and up-to-date CRM documentation and action planning for all assigned accounts.
Tracking and measuring OD network expansion and engagement activities.
Completing business reviews that assess pre- and post-implementation adoption performance.
Leading and executing company-wide LAL initiatives at the account level.
