Title: Coating Operator
Required Shift:
12 hour Rotating Shift
B Shift
Week 1: Sunday Wednesday Thursday
Week 2: Monday Tuesday Friday Saturday
Job Purpose:
The Coating Operator is responsible for operating coating equipment and tracking inventory and waste for gum.
What are we looking for?
Minimum Requirements:
Must have met time in role (12+ months)
Must have approval from current Line Manager to apply
Must be in good standing in current role
High School Diploma or GED
1+ years of experience operating high speed machinery and/or equipment in a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment.
Understanding of computer systems (Ex: MS Office, inventory systems, SAP, etc) Physical Requirements:
Frequent lifting/carrying pushing (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)
Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.
Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, leaning over equipment and work in confined spaces.
Ability to stand and/or work on feet for extended periods (minimum eight hours in one shift).
Ability to understand, communicate, read, and write basic work-related English. Preferred Qualifications:
Technical degree or certifications
2+ years' experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment
Ability to keep accurate inventory records.
Strong understanding of all GMP's, PPE's and quality checks
JDA Experience
Forklift Experience What will be your Key Responsibilities?
Operate automated and/or manual manufacturing equipment while maintaining general housekeeping
Accountable for meeting productivity, quality, and safety requirements
Perform scheduled quality control tests to and keep accurate records of production and down times.
Maintaining physical inventories of ingredients and create transfer orders and materials in JDA/SAP
Ensures the inventory of pellet centers for coating process and recycling.
Manages proper rotation of gum from conditioning areas. (1st in 1st out)
Manually feeds gum into breakers to break into centers, removing bad ends, sorbitol spots, damaged pellets and ensuring all gum is removed from trays.
Monitors levels of gum centers within hoppers for coating.
Operate, sets up and /or changeover the equipment ensuring it is operating at proper speeds and gaps. (Running within centerlines).
