POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
The Facilities Maintenance and Cleaning Technician plays a vital role in ensuring our guests and associates have an outstanding experience. This position focuses on keeping all property equipment in top condition, maintaining pristine premises, and ensuring all guest rooms are well-repaired. You will be responsible for completing tasks outlined in the Green Shield Binder, following directives from the management team, and adhering to company standards.
MAJOR / KEY JOB DUTIES
Demonstrate a strong commitment to providing exceptional experiences for guests and associates.
Work independently while fulfilling essential duties in line with company standards.
Address guest requests with prompt and diligent follow-through in accordance with company guidelines.
Carry out out-of-room cleaning as specified in the Green Shield Binder to uphold pristine conditions, including managing trash, cleanliness of interiors and exteriors, and maintaining grounds and walkways.
Complete repairs as listed on work orders, adhering to the work order process in a timely and professional manner.
Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and repairs as documented in the Green Shield Binder.
Follow the Green Shield Inspection schedule daily to complete tasks as per company standards.
Maintain accurate records related to guest room PM deficiencies, inspections, and log non-guest room deficiencies as needed.
Utilize the SOPs as guidance for completing all tasks efficiently.
Keep the maintenance room organized and clean while managing maintenance tool inventory and ensuring tools are functioning properly.
Ensure compliant, clean, and organized boiler rooms, HVAC rooms, and fire safety equipment as per regulations and local ordinances.
Follow all safety and security policies, including OSHA and ADA compliance.
Participate in the maintenance of pools and spas according to policies and local ordinances, as applicable.
Assist in responding to emergencies at the property or sister locations as required by management.
Coordinate with outside vendors when directed by management.
OTHER DUTIES
Assist with cleaning shared areas of the hotel as needed, including but not limited to the front desk, associate breakroom, guest laundry, fitness room, and common areas.
Promote and maintain overall hotel cleanliness.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the management team.

Proficient in reading and speaking English to interact effectively with guests, associates, and vendors.
Understand and adhere to safety protocols, operation instructions, and company policies.
Capable of writing standard reports and correspondence.
Perform basic arithmetic and measurements as required.
Exercise good judgment consistently.
Assist with resolving guest issues in line with company policies.
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to remain stationary, navigate the hotel, and handle various tools and equipment.
Position may require bending, kneeling, or crouching and accessing low or elevated areas.
Occasional lifting or pushing objects weighing up to 50 pounds may be required.
Detect items within guest rooms to ensure safety and performance.
Be prepared to work outside in various weather conditions.
Potential exposure to humid conditions, mechanical parts, fumes, or chemicals.
Work environment may have moderate to loud noise levels.
Willingness to travel to assist other locations within reasonable geography may be necessary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
