As a CADD/BIM Designer specializing in Process Engineering, you will play a vital role in developing innovative project solutions in municipal and industrial water treatment, conveyance, and other municipal projects. You will be responsible for creating models, drawings, and BIM systems that guide construction efforts for local and national initiatives.
In this collaborative position, you will work hand-in-hand with CAD Designers, Engineers, Project Managers, and leadership teams to deliver precise design models and drawings. Your expertise in Revit/Plant 3D and AutoCAD will be essential in turning engineering concepts into actionable construction documents, sketches, and models.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize Revit and/or Plant 3D and AutoCAD for designs related to the water market, backed by at least 4 years of relevant experience.
Prepare detailed sketches, models, drawings, and construction documents to support various facility design projects.
Manage work-sets, control visibility, and effectively use parameters in Revit/Plant 3D families and schedules.
Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure high-quality deliverables that meet project requirements.
Qualifications:
Associate degree in drafting or design from an accredited technical institution or college.
Experience in process piping, pumping, and valving CAD design for municipal projects, including water and wastewater systems.
Proficient understanding of various pipe materials, joint ends, valve types, pumping functions, and piping accessories.
Strong computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Team-oriented with a passion for collaboration.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with BIM360, Autodesk, and Navisworks.
Ability to create and update templates and project setups in Revit.
Familiarity with MicroStation Open Plant.
Hands-on mechanical skills through education, professional experience, or personal projects that enhance design and construction capabilities for municipal projects.
