POSITION TITLE: Elementary Principal
REPORTS TO: Superintendent
MAJOR POLICY RESPONSIBILITY:
The Elementary Principal is responsible for providing effective instructional leadership and is accountable for the school's operation. Major responsibilities include the educational program, certified and support staff, student development, facility maintenance and management, fiscal management activities, and developing effective community relations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience.
Oklahoma Elementary Principal certification.
Effective leadership skills and experiences.
Proven background in instruction, assessment, and professional development.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Manage day to day operations of the school
Provide effective instructional leadership
Oversee the educational program for all students
Supervise instructional and non-instructional staff
Oversee facility maintenance and management
Provide fiscal management of campus activity accounts
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Effective communication skills
Ability to work closely with the administrative team and district directors
Work effectively with various stakeholder groups throughout the district and community
Available to work eleven month contract, along with attendance at evening and weekend events
Prior administrative experience preferred
Effective team-building skills
Effective organizational skills
Other duties as assigned by the superintendent.
