About the Role

We are excited to invite applications for the role of Web Content Expert. This important position will support our federal government client by offering operational, content, and analytical assistance across internal and external digital properties. You will play a vital role in ensuring that our public health content is high-quality, accessible, compliant, and focused on the audience across various web and digital platforms. While this is a fully remote position for applicants within the United States, occasional on-site work may be required at our client's location in Atlanta, GA.

Responsibilities

Manage and maintain digital properties, including internal and external websites, applications, and channels.

Coordinate updates to web and digital content aligned with release schedules and public health priorities.

Work closely with various teams to ensure content is accurate, timely, and consistent.

Maintain content inventories and conduct regular content reviews to ensure all information is up-to-date.

Support clearance processes and manage version control to maintain accuracy and relevance.

Ensure all content aligns with health literacy, plain language, accessibility standards, and CDC web policies.

Utilize analytics tools to track performance and generate reports with insights for SEO and content optimization.

Create and maintain data visualizations using tools such as CDC COVE and Power BI.

Stay updated on CDC web policies, digital technologies, and best practices in accessibility.

Participate in web workgroups and advisory meetings as needed.

Provide recommendations for content improvements and capacity building across different teams.

Required Skills and Experience

3-5 years of experience in managing websites or digital content for large, regulated organizations.

Familiarity with content management systems and digital governance.

Proficient in using web analytics tools to derive actionable insights from data.

Knowledge of Section 508 standards and health literacy principles.

Exceptional collaboration, organizational, and communication skills.

Experience with tools like CDC COVE and Power BI is preferred.

Familiarity with SEO and audience analytics is preferred.

Prior experience working with CDC or similar governmental clients is a plus.

Strong written and oral communication skills with attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Must pass required Federal background screening and maintain government clearance.

Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship is required.

Education and Training

Bachelor's degree in communications, public health, digital media, information science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit for prolonged periods and work on a computer. May be required to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
