Job Summary:
The Groundskeeper Worker supports the Landscaping/Grounds Maintenance Supervisor in maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of grounds, equipment, and vehicles at designated contract sites. This role involves performing a wide range of landscaping and grounds maintenance duties, including mowing, trimming, mulching, fertilizing, weed control, and seasonal upkeep such as leaf removal and flower installation.
The Groundskeeper Worker is expected to identify and report potential maintenance issues, ensure high standards of customer service, and work efficiently under tight deadlines with shifting priorities. The position requires strong time management, the ability to multitask, and adherence to NW Works policies and professional standards. Participation in company events, training, and meetings is also expected.
The position reports to Beltsville, MD facility.
Job Description:
The employee assists with all landscaping and grounds maintenance at contract sites, performing tasks such as mowing, edging, mulching, fertilization, weed control, pruning, turf care, and seasonal cleanup.
They report maintenance issues to the supervisor, maintain strong working relationships with customers and partners, and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
The role requires professionalism, punctuality, accurate recordkeeping, adherence to agency policies, participation in required meetings and trainings, and flexibility to perform additional duties as needed.
