Join our team as a Mid-Level Application Engineer! Our client is a leader in providing enterprise computing services for mission-critical systems, emphasizing quality, automation, accessibility, and configuration management. Pay Rate: $55.00 to $65.00/hr. W2
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze complex system requirements to deliver top-notch solutions.
Design software tools and subsystems to promote reusability and facilitate domain analyses.
Manage software development and support using formal specifications and design techniques.
Employ CASE tools as appropriate to enhance development processes.
Estimate software development costs and timelines effectively.
Review existing applications, implementing refinements to optimize performance.
Oversee software configuration management practices.
Conduct both manual and automated testing for web applications and APIs.
Develop and execute comprehensive test cases and automated scripts, supporting regression testing efforts.
Identify and document defects, ensuring fixes are validated.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of professional IT experience.
Experience with manual and automated testing methodologies.
Proficiency in test automation using Selenium, Cypress, and Playwright.
Strong programming and scripting skills in Java and JavaScript.
Experience in Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber and Gherkin.
Accessibility testing experience using tools like aXe and pa11y.
API and integration testing skills with Postman and Rest Assured in AWS environments.
Familiarity with version control and CI/CD practices using GitLab.
Preferred experience in supporting federal or large enterprise IT programs.
Desirable background in Agile or DevSecOps environments.
Excellent documentation and communication abilities are preferred.
