Job Description
Our company is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. The ideal candidate is highly organized, financially driven, and capable of managing multiple fast-paced projects while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Experience in commercial construction — particularly self-storage projects — is required.
This role is responsible for the successful planning, coordination, execution, and financial performance of assigned projects.
Key Responsibilities
Manage projects from pre-construction through completion and closeout
Develop and maintain project schedules and ensure milestones are met
Monitor budgets, costs, and profitability throughout the project lifecycle
Prepare, track, and negotiate change orders
Manage RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
Review and approve subcontractor and vendor invoices
Conduct buyouts and coordinate subcontractor scopes
Identify and mitigate risks, constructability issues, and logistical challenges
Coordinate closely with field operations and internal project staff
Maintain clear communication with clients regarding progress, schedule, and budget
Ensure timely completion of financial reporting, billings, and collections
Respond to delays, issues, and unforeseen conditions
Oversee punch list completion and project closeout
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, subcontractors, and partners
Qualifications
Minimum 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience
Demonstrated experience managing projects valued at $10M+
Experience with retail and/or self-storage construction strongly preferred
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong financial management skills, including budgets and cost tracking
Experience with buyouts and leveling trades
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Experience with Procore, MS Project, and Bluebeam required
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Ability to lead meetings and coordinate diverse project teams
Strong document management and attention to detail
Occasional travel as required
