Position Summary
The Electron Beam Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring the electron beam processing equipment to ensure products meet quality and safety standards. This role includes setting up and operating the beaming machine, guiding and coiling cable as it passes through the beam, and inspecting materials for proper processing. This position works Monday-Friday 3:15pm-1:45am.
Key Responsibilities
Operate a forklift to transport 48" diameter reels from storage to processing equipment.
Coil cable into 40" x 48" boxes as it exits the electron beam process.
Assemble boxes and skids for finished product packaging.
Monitor the processing of control lead and core tube materials through the beam, ensuring accuracy and quality.
Use pushcarts to handle 30" diameter reels for control lead processing from payoff to take-up equipment.
Perform duties requiring frequent standing and movement throughout the shift.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High school diploma or GED required.
Proven forklift operation experience.
Basic math skills for measurement and documentation.
Familiarity with handheld measuring instruments such as calipers.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., particularly when handling bar stock and fittings.
