Job Description
Title: Maintenance Assistant/Tech
FLSA: Non-Exempt
General Summary:
Prime candidates will have electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic skillsets, with the ability to troubleshoot electromechanical equipment and reduce downtown.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Reading and interpreting blueprints/ schematics
Fabrication of parts for repairs and machines upgrades
Troubleshooting equipment failures, using proven 7 steps of troubleshooting, methods, and practices, following 70E and OSHA requirements
Use test equipment to verify failed components for replacement
Utilize established maintenance software to maintain inventory accuracy, order parts, and maintain spare parts
Carry out preventive maintenance on equipment, following established procedures
Install new equipment to specifications
Communicate with the production team and assist with job specific training when requested
Document work activity daily, and provide detailed pass down to the next shift
Maintain maintenance reports as required
Complete all training as assigned
Provide feedback to the supervisor regarding equipment conditions
Be proactive in observation of potential equipment failures
Ability to communicate effectively and accurately
Maintain a high level of attention to detail in all work activities
All other tasks as assigned
Job Specifications:
3 years of industrial Maintenance experience
Technical certificates or equivalent, preferred
Strong electrical background, preferred
Must be able to work all shifts (including some weekends)
Must be able to work professionally and work well with others
