Job Description
We are seeking a LPN for a Temporary Assignment- at a local Steel Mill
Objective of the Job:
To ensure the health and safety of employees by providing comprehensive occupational and clinical health services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Ensure Safety, Environmental, Quality requirements and “where applicable” Responsible steel requirements are followed.
2. Assessing employees and patients through clinical triage
3. Assisting in the disposal of biomedical waste.
4. Providing support for medical documentation requirements
5. Coordinates the assembly and stocking of first responder bags.
6. Compile clinical notes for the practitioner review
7. Monitor medication prior authorizations and refills.
8. Aid in the setup and execution of pre-employment physical exams under the practitioner's direction.
9. Perform drug and alcohol screenings.
10. Provide support to the nurse practitioner as needed.
11. Coordinate diagnostic imaging and laboratory tests as needed.
12. Verifying medication histories while conducting clinical triage.
13. Ensuring a clean, orderly environment in exam rooms and the nursing station.
14. Administer OSHA-required hearing and FIT testing.
15. Assist with health documentation for workers' compensation.
Qualifications:
1. Positive attitude
2. 2 years in a clinical background
3. Active LPN unencumbered license
4. LPN degree
5. Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
This position occasionally requires employees to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. This employee must frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Company Description
