Position Description

A Plumbing Design Engineer is a member of our multi-disciplinary design team and will work along-side our engineering leadership. The Engineer will have opportunities to work on various types of renovation and new construction projects for commercial, multi-tenant residential and institutional building types, including health care, technology, utilities & education markets.

Essential Functions:

Drafting of Plumbing construction drawings including details, plans & sections

Plumbing related calculations

Design of Plumbing systems

Selection of Plumbing equipment

Coordinating with other engineering and architectural trades during design

Develop construction documents in AutoCAD and Revit

Participate in developing details, equipment schedules and specifications

Research and assesses building performance and other regulations

Contribute to design discussions and carry design concept through to project drawings

Contribute to sustainable design discussions and implement sustainable strategies

Coordinate and communicate with other team members. Position Requirements

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Computer Aided Drafting

Minimum 8-years of experience working for a consulting engineering firm

Ability to work with minimal assistance from senior staff

PE not required but a plus

AutoCAD and/or Revit experience required
